Penang is often dubbed the Silicon Valley of the East, owing to its strong and vibrant electrical and electronics (E&E) industry.  Batu Kawan, located off Seberang Perai on the mainland is intended to be the state’s third satellite town and is a Free Industrial Zone attracting up to 300 technology companies hosted in one place. 

We are one of the many companies hoisted along the flock with an Innovation hub centered at Walta Centre of Excellence. This created the perfect avenue for us to partner with Digital Penang, a state agency in supporting and accelerating startups growth and success.

The Founders’ Grit Startup Bootcamp is a joint effort between Digital Penang and BEYOND4 with a common goal to create opportunities for tech startups to pitch and seek funding from a panel of investors after undergoing a 42-weeks sprint journey with us where the startups experienced intensive, rapid, and immersive guidance and mentorship. 

The ideas brought to the table were some of the best we have seen across the board with many of them carrying their ideas and solutions confidently to the next stage of the startup journey. We have onboarded a total of 10 innovative and promising Startups in 2022 via this initiative. As we gain traction in the North while expanding our efforts, we are excited for 2023 and the various endeavours we will embark on together with Digital Penang.
