On 12 February 2025, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and BEYOND4 Sdn Bhd formalized a strategic collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, setting the stage for an enhanced SME ecosystem in Malaysia. The agreement aims to accelerate talent development, enterprise innovation, and business growth, ensuring Malaysia remains competitive in the global market.
The MoU signing was officiated by Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA, and S.T. Rubaneswaran, CEO of BEYOND4, witnessed by Dato’ P’ng Soo Hong, Chairman of MSIA TvET, and Puan Zuaida Binti Abdullah, Executive Director of Services Development, MIDA.
This partnership signifies a shared commitment to fostering high-value investments and innovation-driven enterprises, with a focus on empowering SMEs and startups to scale and compete globally.

MIDA and BEYOND4 acknowledge the vital role of SMEs, which comprise 98.5% of businesses in Malaysia, and through this collaboration, aim to support startups in scaling to MSMEs, bridge technology gaps for local enterprises, and expand regional and global business linkages.
Through initiatives like the BEYOND4 Accelerator Programme, the partnership will provide SMEs with access to market expansion, investment opportunities, and critical business support, ensuring they are well-equipped for future challenges.

This MoU aligns with Malaysia’s National Investment Aspirations (NIA) and New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, reinforcing efforts to strengthen the local supply chain ecosystem, promote digital transformation and talent development and support high-impact sectors like Advanced Manufacturing, Agritech, MedTech, and Digital Services
